Pray that God will raise Faithful, Available and Teachable men for First Cause in Rwanda.
4. Nigeria: Pray for the Church in Jos, Plateau State. Local Government election was successfully held on November 27th through out the 17 Local Government Areas of the State. While election results were still being collated, some religious fanatics took to the streets burning people’s homes and places of worship (Churches). This is obviously not connected in any way to the conduct of the election as some will have the world believe. It has been an Islamic agenda to crush Christianity on the Plateau…this has always meet resistance by the Christian majority. Most of the people arrested came in from another country. Pray:
I. For the Governor, Pastor Jonah David Jang, A minister of the Gospel and Ex-Nigerian Air force General. That God will grant him the wisdom, Courage and firmness to resolve the problem. We perceive serious pressure on him for the Islamic world.
II. Pray for the citizens: Many people lost their lives and property in the conflict. About 44 church buildings were razed down by fire. There is no accurate figure so far with regards to deaths. However, not less than 500 people died and many are receiving treatment in different hospitals. My brother and I went out to assess the situation…it was a pitiful sight. More than ten thousand refugees are spread across twenty camps within the city.
III. Pray against a repeat of the violence.
